About US

Fit Mumma is a social enterprise that creates online programs & live events that provide mums with a pathway to lifelong better health.

Fit Mumma creates unique events that are more than just one day fitness competitions or online challenges. Instead they are a chance for Mums to connect, motivate each other and inspire those around them.

Inspiring and connecting Mums so they can thrive.

Patsy Tierney

Patsy Tierney high leg kicked her way to fame becoming the 1998 World Sport Aerobics Champion. In an era of lycra and leg warmers, she transitioned from part time aerobics instructor to world number one. She was featured regularly on Wide World of Sports, the Bert Newton Show and even co-hosted the channel 7 football show “Footy Plus”. Patsy was young, fit and at the top of her game and then motherhood happened.

Suddenly thrust into the role of a single mum of two under two year olds, Patsy began to struggle with her mental health. Diagnosed with depression she survived on a mix of alcohol and antidepressants just to get by. No longer exercising or eating well, Patsy lost her trademark self confidence and felt isolated and lost. Then on a whim she signed up for a fun run and everything changed. With  something positive to work towards, Patsy felt the benefit in all areas of her life. She started exercising again, eating well and found joy in being a Mum. And most importantly, this became the inspiration to help other mums improve their physical and mental health;    Fit Mumma was born.

After completing her post natal certifications, Patsy drew on her years of experience in training women and began small group Mums & Bubs classes. Although these classes were very popular, Patsy wanted to be able to impact the lives of many more mums. And so in May 2023 she held the first Fit Mumma Classic, a fitness competition just for mums. The Gold Coast event attracted over 100 competitors and included 3 events and a final incorporating workouts with rowing, lifting and even sandbag carries. With a strong focus on community the Fit Mumma Classic also donates a percentage of the proceeds to Baby GIve Back a local mums and babies charity as well as filling a van on the day with disposable nappies.

In 2023 Pasy was awarded the Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year – Wellness Warrior and was one of only twelve female entrepreneurs selected for a prestigious accelerator program  supported by Advance Queensland. She has also been featured on Channel 7 News, ABC radio, the Gold Coast Bulletin and has written for BubHub.
